​How did you start out?

" I basically started out with nothing but a shitty HP Laptop that was so messed up I actually had to stick a screwdriver into the side to make the damn thing work (Don't ask me how) And of course being an amateur at the beginning, I had no idea of what the hell I was doing other than turning knobs on a VST synth and my first demos were just god awful. Eventually I decided to get a tad more serious than making people's ears bleed so I read some forums and talked with other artists online about mastering and the mixdown process and blah blah blah. To this day I still don't really know what the hell I'm doing, I just do."



What does the name "Hylian" mean?​



" The term 'Hylian' is derived from the land of Hyrule, the main land in the game of The Legend of Zelda. A lot of people ask me 'Oh so are you gonna make zelda themed music?' And I just reply, uh probably not."



What artists influence your music?​



" I think my biggest person influential artist that has had the most impact would be Joel Zimmerman (Deadmau5) I've been listening to Joel's music since BSOD came out and I just thought it was the coolest noises I have ever heard in my life so I've just always followed that style genre. Second would be Daft Punk because I remember my sister being really into them and being young I never understood the brilliance of their music until I matured a little."
